Northern Lights Resources to Sell Medicine Springs Royalty for $2.2 Million
Vancouver, British Columbia — April 2, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Northern Lights Resources Corp. has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its 1% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty on the Medicine Springs Project in Nevada to an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Torex Gold Resources Inc. for US$2.2 million in cash.
According to the company, the agreement was dated April 1, 2026. The Medicine Springs Project is located in Elko County, Nevada.
Northern Lights Resources Corp. intends to use the funds to support the advancement of the Company’s higher-impact projects.
Luka Capin, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Lights, stated the deal is an attractive monetization of a non-core asset and provides meaningful non-dilutive funding. He added that the sale of the Medicine Springs NSR delivers an excellent outcome for shareholders and further strengthens the company's financial position as they advance the Horetzky and Pup projects. Capin said the company has followed the evolution of Medicine Springs since originally optioning the project in 2017, and as a project generator, its mandate is to unlock value and redeploy capital toward opportunities that offer the clearest path to value creation.
Under the agreement, Torex will acquire the Company’s entire NSR royalty interest on the Medicine Springs Project for a cash payment of US$2,200,000. Upon closing, Northern Lights will have no further royalty or other interest in the Project. The Transaction is expected to close in the near term.
Northern Lights Resources Corp. is focused on exploration and development, advancing the Horetzky Copper Project in British Columbia, the Pup Copper Project in the Yukon, and the Secret Pass Gold Project in Arizona. Northern Lights also holds a 1% NSR royalty on the Medicine Springs Silver Project in Nevada, 100% owned by Torex Gold Resources Inc.
Northern Lights trades under the ticker of “NLR” on the CSE, “NLRCF” on the OTC, and “0ZH0” on the FSE.
